please help save anton!

The hospital Anton is in is trying to get rid of him. He will soon be transferred to a Russian orphanage and will lose his one-on-one care. There is no way he can get the bandage changes and have the kind of care he needs in the orphanage. Things are certainly looking down. Please share his story with anyone you know who might be open to adopting him. I'm committing to help with fundraising through the blog and any other way I can help once a family has committed to him. Anton has just celebrated his first birthday and is as cute as a button.

His webpage is HERE and his Facebook page is HERE

Please, please, please, do your part in spreading the word. I don't know if he can survive in an orphanage.

(I may have given you some misinformation in my earlier post. I have seen different things from different sources, but the last thing I read said he was born by surrogate to TWO PARENTS who sent a nanny by private jet to pick up the healthy twin, leaving Anton abandoned in the hospital. It doesn't change anything (except that now I have to work not to hate TWO people), but I'm just trying to be accurate. Sorry for the error.)

I sell 31 gifts and we can do an online party if you want that my commission will completely go to him and to the adoption process for whoever gets to have him. I would so take him in but I am a single mom and I just can't. But my heart goes out to him.

I posted it on facebook.

While I am unable to give him his forever home I am more than willing to support anyone who is able.

I think what you are doing by spreading the word about this little angel is wonderful!!! You are an amazing soul woman!!!!!

Being a 22 year old uni student I obviously cant help home wise but I will help financially as much as I can whilst he is at hospital and when he has a home! Spreading the word on facebook and with friends also.

As most others shared the FB link as well as the .org link. Please keep us posted on fund raising...I will help in any way I can! My heart just breaks for him.

Do you know if there is any financial assistance if you adopt him internationally? He's the same age as our youngest and my heart is just breaking. Unfortunately there is no way we could come up with $2000 a month for supplies. With some financial aid I would seriously consider it. We can't have any more of our own children.

I saw that someone had tweeted this and came to your blog. Does he have a family yet? If not, I would love to know the process, what we would need to do, I've never looked into adoption but he has touched my heart and I want to do whatever I can to make sure he is loved, if that means pursuing an adoption than I am open to that as well. Just let me know! Thank you so much!

Does anybody who knows about this stuff have any idea at all if a lesbian would-be mama in the UK would be alowed to adopt? I'm disabled, use a wheelchair but have fairly good use of my hands and already have 24 hour care at home. In the UK he would be covered by the NHS so many financial considerations are a non-issue.

I have a partner who I do not live with, although she's not far away, and her little girl is just a few weeks younger than Anton.

Thoughts, anybody?

I would love to help with a fundraiser if/when it comes to that! I just shared the info on FB.

as you know I've FB'ed this a couple times. It just kills me that he doesn't have a loving home yet.

Do you know how long the process takes - if someone were to submit their paperwork today - how fast would they be able move the process along?

As you know I also sell Thirty One and am MORE than willing to help with a fundraiser and all the commission go to help with his adoption.

Patrice, I know you don't have a lot of time, but I've had some people ask me if this is a scam (not him, but the action of getting people to donate). That thought never crossed my mind and I passed it along on FB. Is there a way I can deny there is a scam going on and provide a link were people can confidently donate to his care?

Any idea if the issues with Russian adoption in the US will be an issue?

Hi Patrice-

This makes me so sad - am praying for God's quick and clear direction on if we should adopt Anton. I will do whatever I can to help (even if we can't adopt him).

Love,
Laura

Would an older couple even be considered for adoption? I am a 52 year old mother of 2 grown girls and 3 grandchildren, and a stay at home wife. My husband still works at his job of 38 years. He is 61.

My gut hurts after reading this. How could people be so cold as to separate twins taking only 1, the healthy 1? How can anybody be so heartless and cruel? That little face is just precious. Ok..I hate these people. *Sigh*.

I wish I could take him in. I wish I could take many in, but we don't have the resources, but I am going to be folloing along to make sure this little sweetheart gets a proper home. No child deserves this kind of fate, and if hub said yes, I'd take him w/o a thought about anything else. That is how I am, but my..he's such a sweetie.

This world is full of such heartless a^^holes, pardon my french. This makes me so mad.
