This may be my favorite photo I've ever taken of him.
He then made his way from the bathroom to the bottom of the stairs.
He made it up the first step...
... but then wanted down.
So, naturally, being the compassionate and understanding mother that I am, I put down my camera, went behind him and took the moment to physically therapize him by making him climb the entire staircase. He was ticked but he did great, and he was so, so proud of himself when he made it to the top. Totally worth it!
We had a nice day today. We made it to church and then I went to Whole Foods for some full fat, high protein yogurt, and the rest of the time, we've just been hanging around the house. Matt had his Fantasy Football Draft tonight. Not sure how much prep time he put into it this year, but I'm fairly certain it was comparable to last year. If you missed last year's post on what Fantasy Football is like in my house, it might be worth reading... I know many of you can relate.
Alright, that's it for me. Happy One More Week Closer to Fall! (I heard rumor that they have pumpkins and mums outside of Kroger. Can I get a what-what?!)

LOVE that sweet boy! So glad he's doing fun things like toilet-drumming and stair climbing - it's a boy's life for sure! :)
Hope you have a wonderful week - we're praying for Jonah, you and Matt as always!!
Love from TX!

I have to agree with that favorite picture. It is so precious!! It looks like he asking "What do we do with that thing?" And his eyes are so radiant. Makes me wanna scoop him up and bury my face in his neck. (Very softly, of course.)
And moreover, I have to commend you on keeping your toilets clean enough to be drummed by a curious baby. You wouldn't find that in my house!!!
What-What! :)
I love Fall.
And your bathroom is so nice and clean...I feel like I need to go clean mine now.
Agreed. Awesome pictures of the cutest boy ever.
And the post title has me now singing the Cradle Roll song "Pat the Bible, 1-2-3, God loves Jonah, God loves me!"
I'm sure you could come up with a "Pat the Toilet" version to the same tune...maybe something to remember when it's time to potty train? :)
I love that picture with his hands in the air. So cute.
I hear Starbucks has their pumpkin spice latte out already. I guess fall is coming as they usually don't brig it out until the holidays. Oh well, I'm not going to complain as I order one tomorrow morning.
Awww, what a sweety!!! What is is about the toilet, my grandson loves it too! Have a wonderful week you guys! xoxo
Love it! Patrice, he is just such a beautiful boy!!! Such gorgeous eyes...looks like his momma :) Love the pics you've been taking.
I am clearly the only follower who notices the important things. The link from your old post? That HYSTERICAL website (womenagainstfantasysports.com) is evidently defunct. SO SAD. I went back & reread that post because I laughed so hard last year. And the link to the website almost made me cry.
And so now I'm crying because that website is no more. Or maybe my husband is a smart cookie & figured out how to block it...
And, just so you & the rest of the followers don't think I'm nuts - Jonah is PRECIOUS. He is getting so big! And is just sugar-sweet.
Such sweet pics that first one looked familiar, my little discovered the toilet too.
MAN! You take a couple days off from reading the computer and BAM! You have a stair climber, toilet lid banger and a new van. I must keep up with the FLOW (get it, FLOW is where you bought the van). I prayed (as I walked my walk) this morning for your "future van purchase' So glad God understands! We had a great family weekend too. I am so glad you got the little man on the go and the van to with it! Praying for you! Enjoying it all! Jennifer in Southeast, NC (where our van currently has 189,000 miles on it!!!!)

i saw this on another blog and thought about you
Time to get Jonut a drum! LOVE that photo of him (the one you said is your new fav). When I get my new computer I will make you a new button with it if nobody beats me to it!
I also encouraged my boys to learn to climb the steps on their own when they were babies. I figured it was better to be there behind them nudging them along than to have a staircase incident later down the line. ;)
Way to go PT Patrice! Bella always loved the full fat Greek yogurt too. When nothing else worked, she'd eat that! I mixed it w/ avocado one day but she didn't care for it. It made a nice dip for my tortilla chips though!
If you don't mind telling me what yogurt you got at whole foods...my little one is picky but loves yogurt and we are trying to fatten him up!
