Patrice,
I havent commented in a while but just wanted to say I find that I love you even more every time I read your blog and learn more about you. But thats just the tip of the iceberg on why I think you are one of the coolest chicks ever. You make me proud to be a mom even more then I am and I am pretty darn proud. And I think your faith and love for your children is beautiful and the epitome of motherhood. Thanks a million for sharing yourself so openly and letting us know the incredible person you are.

I love your "God put Jonah here to touch the world"! Amen to that! And...He picked the perfect Mommy for him!! Thanks for sharing him with us all! I love you dearly and know for sure that I'll spend eternity with you all in Heaven and I can't wait to see my two little babies up there as well!

I was so shocked there wasn't anything from Chick-A-Fil listed in the food part. :)

I loved your three things I know for sure. That was my favorite. I kind of got a funny little feeling reading the one about Gabe....and Jonah....I think I was about to cry!

I am so glad I found your blog. I think I found you through "tristan's mommy's blog and I think I saw it by reading some comments about a story I saw on babycenter.com. I am so glad God led me to you. You inspire me everyday.

I love you so much, girl! It is always so much fun for me to read your answers to these things ... I always learn something new. (I do not know of this "Sierra Chicken." You will have to educate me.)

I noticed that you were able to keep each answer strictly to three items. Kudos on that. You are a better woman than I ... but that's news to no one. :)

Great list!!!!!!!!!!!! Although I hate Diet Dr. Pepper. NOTHING beats the original, and the diet version is a nasty imposter. But I totally agree about black cherry Kool-aid. Now *that* is yummy stuff. :)

Not sure of black cherry Kool-Aid, but I love black cherry soda pop! I laughed out loud at Matt not emailing you! haha And I went to a new (to me) Target today (in Kansas City). I thought of you, and took a little time just soaking it in, in your name!!

P.S. Yesterday, Stellan apparently spit up avocado on MckMama. I thought he and Jonah were unusually in tune with each other!

I am having a crummy few days ... thanks for making me smile ... and letting Jonah touch hearts and make me smile :)

Hey Patrice~ I've been following your blog for a while, but I've never commented. Oddly enough, what compelled me to comment is that I love "In the Time of Butterflies" too!! I've never even talked to anyone else who has read that book. Anyways, I'm always encouraged and amazed at your testimony of faith, and thank you so much for sharing your family's story!

He has touched the world and so have you, his Mama.

Oh....and Kathie Lee makes me crazy, too.

sorry if I hung on you during your telephone surveying time.

Have you tried the parmesan crusted chicken at Longhorn? OMGoodness! That is my weakness. I agree with Hoda and Kathie Lee. KL creeps me out. I used to respect Hoda before she paired up with KL. And go Diet Dr. P. Only thing that keeps me going at work. I made Grape Koolaid last night. My mom's secret...add a little extra sugar and some pineapple juice...like a gourmet koolaid!

Mine didn't have anything about the TV personalities. Probably a good thing because I would have used it as a sidebar to talk about how much Owen Wilson gets on my nerves. It's okay, though, because I just used your blog for that. :)

Spain...you'd LOVE it! I lived there for a year...never could get the Spanish lisp down.

KLG and Hoda. I really enjoy them. But, I'm a lot older than you. I think that's part of it.

Jonah, indeed touches the world. I check on him and you everyday. What a guy! Hope he writes some more entries...SO funny!

Hugs and prayers,
Elizabeth

I thought you'd like this:

"The Children with EB are called "Butterfly Children" because inspite of the extreme fragility of their skin (like a butterfly wing), that blisters at the slightest touch, they take on life and light it up with their bravery."

Since you mentioned Jonah talking....what kinds of sounds does he make? Yes I'm a speech pathologist and I ask every mom of a 5-6 month the same question.

I have never commented here before, but follow your blog closesly :)

Anyway, I have never "met" anyone (besides the people O lived in the Domincan Republic with) who have read "In the Time of the Butterflies". Such a great book.

Anyway, praying for you even though you have no idea who I am!!
