cute shots by lauren

My friend, Lauren, got some cute shots of Jonah this weekend you can see here. You may remember Lauren from the day Jonah was born, as she posted some of his first pictures on her blog. I had asked her to come to take pictures of the moments preceeding and just following his birth. She is our go-to photographer and took some great maternity pictures of me during both pregnancies.

It was great to see you, Lauren!

Thanks (again!) for all the great shots!

I agree with Ebeling Family--those cute little fingers peeking out are just precious. I know you only recently started leaving the fingers unbandgaged--how are they doing that way?

Very cute pictures!

I am not sure if I've posted a comment on this blog yet, but I've been following for awhile now and I've been praying for Jonah since I came across this blog. I have two things to say/ask...

#1 - I too am a Targaholic! I went TWICE this weekend...and it was great! :o)

#2 - what type of formula did you say Jonah uses? I think I might have the kind you mentioned when you listed the supplies you are in need of. I have 4 cans (brand new and sealed) that I'd love to send you if it's the kind Jonah takes.

Take care and you are doing an amazing job with that sweet little boy of yours!

The pictures of Jonah are great. How blessed you to have all of these reminders of Jonah's progress. His little fingers look wonderful! And his tummy appears to be clear. Missed you guys at church yesterday, but your visit with Weston sounds like a real blessing. HOPE! Doesn't that sound great. You guys are just the parents that Jonah needs.

Thanks for letting us see the great photos of Jonah that your friend Lauren took! Not only do I love looking at beautiful Jonah, it was great to see pics of the bandage changing process and more about what life is like for you all. I agree with Lauren's comment that his eyes are a most wonderful feature, but I must also say that his little mouth and nose just are about the cutest ever!! That little button nose and that adorable mouth just make me want to meet him and love on him all the more!! You are doing a great job! Keep trusting the Lord with all your heart!
I pray for Jonah every day!
Blessings!

That was neat to see the things you go through, through someone else's eyes.

It amazes me how easy it is to see past all the blisters. When I look a Jonah I dont even see them. It's almost like I have to step back and look at them again. He is so cute..
My baby had HORRIBLE baby acne (which I know is no where near what you deal with) but I used to cry at night just wanting to see my perfect baby that was under all that mess. I hated it so much..
And now with Jonah, I dont even see it! :)

I love that whale blanket picture.. he sure is as strong as a whale..

I love that he falls asleep during bandage change.. maybe I need to try that on my baby! :) I fight for hours to get him to sleep... :)

Keep strong...

Those pictures were AMAZING Patrice!! She is very talented. Ofcourse it helps when you are taking pictures of one of the most adorable boys there ever was. I agree, there's something about those eyes that just draws you right in...something VERY special. You have much to be proud of! Love you and see you Friday.

Love the pictures! It was so fun to see things from her perspective...especially the dressing change. It's always so much more fun to see things with pictures! I can't believe he fell asleep during the dressing change. It's just so precious to see babies fall asleep when they get tired, even if they are in the middle of something. Still saying lots of prayers for sweet little Jonah!

P.S. - I got my magnet a few days ago and now I just need to remember to take if off at the car wash :)

Beautiful pictures! Jonah is so adorable. I think he looks so much like you, Patrice.

As for the aquaphor blanket/diaper issue; have you tried Murphy's Oil Soap? I know that it sounds a little wierd, but it has always worked for our crazy stains (including the oil stains from spilled wax). The only trick to it is that you have to get the stain wet before you apply the soap, but you CAN scrub it in. I found that a firm toothbrush works best.

Good luck!

Patrice,
Last night our local TV station ran a report about a little girl with EB. Here is the link: http://www.cbsatlanta.com/video/19717839/index.html
I hope you are encouraged by her story.
