This is ridiculous, cruel, and unconscionable. I cannot IMAGINE what Jonah's life would be like without his life-saving bandages. For children and adults with EB, bandages aren't optional. They are necessary and are the difference between life and death. The state of Florida is killing Omayra. How does this happen?
"Omayra lives in Florida and was born with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). At age 21, she was cut off from her source of life-saving medical supplies - and Florida Medicaid will not help. We've reached out to Governor Scott and have asked him to help. You can email the Governor at: http://www.flgov.com/contact-gov-scott/email-the-governor/ (and ask him to help Omayra)."
Please watch this video and CARE. And if you live in Florida, especially if you know a higher-up there, get involved. Do something. Don't sit by and choose to make it not your problem. Let's make some noise, Folks. (And for those of you who don't know, without insurance, bandages can cost between $4,000 and $7,000 A MONTH.)
This is abuse.
