last couple days

We've had a pretty good last couple of days. Jonah has been in a great mood, today especially. I'm so thankful to have had a better week this week than last week.

Jonah playin' some tunes.

Jonah and Emma, the girl next door (or two doors down, but who's counting?).

Yesterday we went with Emma and her Mommy to the new produce market down the street and to Target. Then they were able to stay and hang out with us for dinner. Today, we went and visited some friends who are in town from Michigan. No big plans for tomorrow except for steaming and blending baby food. Good times.
_____________

I've recently been sent several emails about two little boys who have EB and need some help.

Click HERE to read about Carson (you have to scroll down about half way). He is up for adoption, living in an orphanage in Eastern Europe (I believe). He has EB and is not getting the care he needs.

Click HERE to read about Robert. He is a one month old in Uganda. His parents brought him to a 21 year old missionary's door for help. After a quick google search, they took him to the hospital. It has been confirmed that he has EB.

I can't imagine having an EB child in a place without the proper supplies and support. It's heartbreaking.

Hi Patrice-

Thanks so much for sharing more of sweet Jonah! He looks like he's a happy fellow these days. The Little A's love them some Jonah pics, too!!

Will add (sadly) these two EB sweeties to my prayer list. As many gripes as we have in the US about healthcare, I think we take a lot for granted. EB is awful no matter where in the world you are!

Hope you, Matt and Jonah have a wonderful weekend.

Love,
Laura

Is it me or has Jonah's face healed REALLY quickly this week? Wow! He's rockin' it! I love all the pix of him playing with his piano! Too cute! Oh, and the football game should play on tv, but I don't know that you'll be able to see us. :)

I clicked on the link about Carson.. and oh my goodness.. I had to close the page because I started crying. I want to adopt each and every one of those children! It breaks my heart to think they are living with treatable (not curable, but still.. ) conditions and going without medical care. I work with and love children with disabilities.. and I'm trying to have my own child.. so the combination of unwanted children with disabilities.. it's too much. I know you are thinking of adopting a child. Are you looking getting one with special needs? It's such an overwhelming decision to even consider and yet the need is so great. Heartbreaking doesn't really come close-

Seriously - Could a kid be any cuter watching tv?

Thank you Patrice for posting about Carson!! The night I first saw him I sent it to EBfriends in hopes of finding him a family. Jonah looks sooo big! They grow up too fast. I am collecting supplies to take to Carson - my BF lives in Moscow and she is going to take it from there. Carson has NOTHING so I/we are up to take any donations of anything what so ever that might help Carson. Tavani's here in ATL are going to give me some of Ellie's stuff to take in December so anything to add would be wonderful. JONAH is looking awesome and prayers for his boo boo's from the little spill to heal up with all speed.

On Robert's page there are two comments that may help Carson. One of them is someone who arranges travel to the US for children to be treated!! Thank you for posting this:)
