super baby!

So... Granny is here after a several week hiatus. Between our beach vacation, Kim and the kids being at Debbie and Gerry's house, Debbie's dad's health problems (he had emergency surgery to get his gall bladder removed), and Debbie, herself, having some back issues, it has been a while. But she's back (until tomorrow) and better than ever.

And I don't know WHAT it is about Granny that makes Jonah want to perform (remember the counting???), but this child has gone crazy and become Super Genius Baby today.

Today:
- Jonah started putting his play phone up to his ear, saying "hewwo."

- said "baby" repeatedly when he saw himself in a mirror
- said "no no" along with his head shaking
- said "bear" over and over again when looking at his book with a bear in it AND
- blew Granny a kiss

What was he doing before today? Saying "ball."

What will he do after today? Say "ball."

Granny must be his muse.

In other news, my sister told me it's supposed to be, with the heat index, over 100 degrees for at least the next four days.

Sigh...
Someday, Sweet Boy. Someday.

You'd better be getting that video camera out before Debbie leaves! I can't WAIT to see all of Jonah's new tricks. LOVE HIM!

Sweet little dude looking outside to the heat. Would you try the Children's Museum with him again? That is definitely a spot for us to escape this heat.

Smart baby!! You have to video him on the phone - I bet "hewwo" is the cutest!!

The heat is getting just about irritating, isn't it?! Hope it lets up for you guys soon!!

Love,
Laura

Don't you love when your kids perform for others! Mine never do!..well, hardly ever! I'm always left singing "ABC's" to a crowd of adults while the kids and adults look at me like I'm crazy! :) Ha! Kids! Gotta love 'em! I hear ya with the heat wave! Poor Jonah. If it makes you feel any better, he'd probably be miserable after 5 minutes outside even w/o EB. It is heart breaking though! Those pictures of Jonah, just melt my heart!

That is wonderful he is saying all those new words! It's amazing to think how far he has come from birth on. Love the photos of him gazing outside.

I hear ya on the performing for others topic. I went to pick up my 10 month old at my mom's and she went on and on about how the kid does all these tricks. When I tried to get her to do them for me, she just blinked. Sigh.

Loved the pictures. Jonah is sooo sweet, and he has the dearest, prettiest little mouth!

Tell us again why the heat is a no-no for Jonah. Does it cause breathing issues or more skin issues?

How sweet! Love the photos, and so glad Jonah's talking up a storm! (well, at least for Grandma!)

My youngest drives me batty with the speech thing...... she won't say Dada.... not even a name FOR Dada that's not Dada..... my husband would be happy if she'd call him "Rick" at this point! (She'll be 2 in September)

and I feel for you guys with this heat! We're stuck inside too during it, as little bits here has breathing issues and can't take the warm, humid weather..
