photos

Crazy hair, dirty bandages, about to get nudey. Good times.

All clean in his Grouchy Smurf t-shirt. (Thanks, Aunt Kim!)

I love this kid.

The best part of my day - Jonah Kisses.

I don't really know, but I thought it was funny.

He loves his Leap Frog Activity Table from his friends, Carston and Caroline.

Today's been okay. Jonah had his psych evaluation today. I was pretty skeptical, because, honestly, how do you evaluate an 18 month old? But it went well. Really, she just talked to me about all the issues Jonah's had, his reflux, current schedule, and how feedings are going now. We both agree that we need to take it slowly, not push him too hard, and have small goals. She agrees that his aversion is mostly driven by his negative experiences from severe reflux (I'm so tired of the puke), and that it's the one thing in his life he feels like he can control. It was very helpful, actually, and I'm glad to have focus, a plan, and someone who is trying to understand all sides of the complexity that is Jonah and eating.

We have some friends coming tomorrow afternoon, and I'm excited that Jonah gets to socialize with some kiddos.

Well, it's been a busy day and I didn't sleep well last night, so I'm off to bed. Goodnight.

Terrific photos. I love all the smiles, even with the Grouchy shirt.

Glad you had a good experience with the eval, and hope it helps you both. :)

He just gets cuter and cuter! These are great pictures. I am glad that you have more people on your team to support you and help you!

Honestly, just when I think this boy can't get any cuter...

LOVE the Grouchy Smurf shirt (did you know they're coming out with a Smurf movie?! In 3D, even!)

Jackson asked about Jonah tonight - will have to show him these pics in the AM. Hope you have a great Thursday!

Love,
Laura

Love your blog! I'm just wondering...since he is so social, what does he do when he sees other kids his size eat? I'm just wondering what would happen if it was snack time, all the little ones were sitting together with food in front of them and Jonah too? Peer pressure of the good kind maybe?

Kisses from Jonah would be my favorite part of the day, too. I love my Jakey kisses. :)

Good thing you love him.. he looks just like you! ;) So sweet and precious. I have an immunodeficiency that causes skin problems (Job's syndrome). In fact I often learn things from your blog.. My doc tried the Atarax for itching.. it helped some but it mostly made me sleep.. and I scratch in my sleep too apparently. ha :) His face didn't exactly scream grouchy smurf tho! ha.. :) I'm from NC too.. but from the mtns.. near Boone. How about a trip to the mountains?? Would love to meet the lil guy. Seeing how there's like exactly two stores up here I'm sure I'd manage to bump into you. Plus, It's starting to get nice and cool up here... especially in the evenings. Bribary to see the cuteness that is Jonah? I'm teasing of course.. but it really might be a nice trip for him to Grandfather Mountain.. it is definately not too hot and the animals are fun! I am a wuss though and do NOT enjoy the mile high swinging bridge (although I have been across it).

Patrice, I just love my Jonah fix! You guys continue to amaze me and I continue to praise God that Jonah is doing so well.

I began following the BMT trials for EB kids when you posted about Sam and now I am following each one as they begin the journey to a cure.

Bella's dad asked the readers to comment. I began reading through them, I think you should read through (you know, when you have time, ha,ha). There are many comments that mention "I found Bella through Jonah". Way to go Patrice!

Keep up the good work - you are an incredible mom!! Jonah is one blessed little boy!

Jonah is precious! I have never commented before, but I do read everyday. You might wan to check for recalls on his activity table, my friend had one for her little girl and her hand got stuck in the little blue cup thing on the top side of it. I'm pretty sure that piece was recalled. I don't want Mr. Handsome to get hurt!
