this and that

I'm super worn out, so this will be short. It's been a good day... I've gotten out a lot. Mom and Shaina kept Jonah so I could meet M for lunch (and by lunch, I mean a 2 hour and 45 minute girl time at Moe's). It was great, but I'm too tired to write about it now, so I'll organize my thoughts and give an update on the adoption stuff later... after I've had a chance to look at some of the websites and agencies she recommended. M is super wonderful, and I see us becoming good friends.

As soon as Matt got home from work, I went to the gym and I KICKED MY BUTT. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to move tomorrow. But it feels good to work out, and I'm trying to eat better too. It's not that I want to lose a lot of weight (although a few pounds would be nice), it's more just that I feel GROSS with my lack of exercising and horrible eating habits. I feel like if I don't get it under control now, I'm going to gain a lot. I've gained 10 or 15 pounds since I stopped pumping for Jonah when he was four months old. The old metabolism just ain't what it used to be. Anyway, all of that to say that I am beat and am looking forward to good sleep - you know, the kind you get after a day in the sun or at the pool. That's how I feel... all heavy like. Anyway, whatever. I'm rambling now.

Jonah's doing well, and I actually got him to eat a few bites of oatmeal at breakfast and a couple of ounces of yogurt at lunch. Complete refusal and defiance at dinner though, so who knows. He likes to keep us guessing.

Okay, that's it for me. For reals. Over and Out.

You won't find a more enthusiastic supporter of adoption! So glad you had a great day - and had some girl time!

Happy to hear that you are getting out and doing things for yourself! I'm not quite sure I remember what that's like (it's been almost 8 months since Anna was born). You are motivating me in that direction: to get back in shape and get out of the house on my own :) Thanks, Laura V.

I am so excited you are looking into adoption! We wouldn't have our two beautiful kiddos here on earth if it weren't for adoption. There is an agency in NC our agency here uses that is very good. It is called Christian Adoption Services. Website is www.christianadopt.org. We pray for you and your family often.
