weekend photos

This weekend we were able to go to Chapel Hill to spend time with my brother, his wife Amy, and his kids, Asher and Ainsley.

There was some sandbox playing for Asher.

Lots of swinging for this cutie, Ainsley, who turned the big THREE yesterday.

And some good old hangin' out on a blanket for Jonah (and daddy).

***************************
And I just wanted to include this one from today to show you how great his face is looking (today) and how much he can heal in just a few days. I would love to think it's going to last, but I've learned my lesson (many times) with that one. Not being negative, just realistic. But I try to take a few photos on days it looks especially clear just to document that we do, in fact, have some relatively clear days here and there.

Oh! His face looks wonderful! He is such a beautiful baby! He looks a lot like you, but I'm starting to see some of his daddy, too. Such a cutie!

WOW - his face looks great! I just want to scoop him up (in the gentlest way possible!) and hug him. Jonah looks like he's really enjoying himself these days - being 1 agrees with him!

And that Ainsley - TOO cute!!

Glad you had a good time with your family - am continuing to pray for you and Matt and sweet Jonah.

Love from TX!
Laura

Those blue eyes are to die for!! He is so cute! I always love seeing his photos. My son was born on 2/18/09 so they are close in age. I read your last post and my heart just broke reading how conflicted you are. I am so very sorry!

I have a 4 year old who loves to see pics of baby Jonah. I will sometimes hold her on my lap when I am on the computer. She'll ask where is baby Jonah. It's just so cute to hear.

He is downright adorable!

I have been following your posts for months and have finally found the courage to post. I don't have to tell you that Jonah is a beautiful boy, good days or not. But just in case you need to hear it again...

You have a beautiful, er handsome, boy. I'm not sure beautiful is a word used for 1 year old boys, but I do think it applies here. His hair is getting so long!! Are you going to let it grow out? Or cut it?

I love the first three pics of Jonah. He looks like he is watching Ainsley on the swing and is just astounded...like watching a circus!!! And look how well he is sitting up, all by himself with no pillows or other support! Maybe things will calm down a bit for you, Patrice, not that the auction and birthday party are done. Have a great week!

Patrice and Matt CONGRATS on his 1 year birthday!!

He always looks so HAPPY and I know he is since he has yall as parents! And, he isn't my baby but it is still sad he is getting to be such a big boy. He looks like such a little boy now. I look at my little man and my heart aches he is getting so big so fast. I know yall prob feel the same. Exciting to watch them grow but you also miss the baby...

I can't imagine the JOY he brings although I have no idea the struggles yall go throgh on a daily basis! But the JOY, oh the JOY!

LOVE reading the blog! Thanks for letting us share your life!!

I miss him so much! And how can he possibly have grown so much in just 10 days? Not possible. What a cutie, cutie, cutie. Love you all to pieces!

He looks great, Patrice!!! He's just so lovely...I could look at him all day long. I went back to this time last year in my blog and remember posting often for others to be in prayer over Jonah and your family. To see what a year has done is incredible! I'm so proud of you and Matt and still think about you guys every day. You're doing great! ♥

He is such a handsome little dude... love that last picture! By the way, I love your attitude. Appreciate the good days but don't get your hopes up so you don't get disappointed on bad days. I'm going to try to learn from you. Hugs.
