photos from sunday

Here are a few pics from Sunday at my Maw Maw's house. She lives in Dobson, and we love hanging out and being outside. I love the country.

Here's the view from their driveway.

My brother, his wife, and their two cuties.

All the kids.

Our little family.

Siblings.

Jonah ate 28 ounces today. Well, he actually took down 32.3 ounces, but he gushed up about four ounces at his 4:00 feeding. He hadn't had a gusher in 11 days, so it didn't bother me too much (it also didn't get on his bandages which helps me not be bothered). I think he's definitely outgrowing it. I'll take a couple days of gushers if we can have an 11 day stretch without any.

Twenty-eight ounces. Wow. Just wow.

We live in the country and LOVE it!!! When the nurses and EI teacher come though, they think they'll never get here!

I'm so glad Jonah is eating better and puking less! He's had great numbers this week!!! I'm so glad the surgeons said wait and see what he'll do now! I know it is still difficult but what isn't, right!

And I think you can rest assured if the surgeon said wait....it is his job to do the surgery not put it off! I'm always afraid they like to poke, prod, test, and cut too often!

Have a great, blessing Thanksgiving!! God is alive and working in lives today!

Wow! What a beautiful place to gather a family. Makes me want to move! (not really!) I am so happy that he is eating and that you are smiling and that you get to wait a bit longer. That's what it is all about, making the choices, the right ones at the right time for the right reasons. You get an A+ for this course! Jennifer in Southeast, NC

Cute pictures! I love the family pic of the 3 of you. Jonah's face looks especially great in that picture. He is just so perfectly chubby! I love hearing all of the positive news as of late. Jonah's definitely giving you even more to be thankful for (as if that were possible!).

Awesome news about the latest days of feedings.

Glad you were able to spend some time with the family.

Looks like you all had a terrific time, Patrice! So glad you were able to enjoy the country. One thing I don't like about living in North Texas is the lack of seasons and trees. Looks like you've got both out in your neck of the woods!

So glad Jonah had a strong eating day today - and will continue to pray for him. Caroline looked at the pics from a few posts back tonight and she was so excited that Jonah rolled over! She says to tell him congratulations!

Hope you have a restful evening!

Love,
Laura

First, WOW! I am so happy to read how much he has eaten!! I absolutely believe it is God asking you to trust Him. I will pray for more. It is certainly possible that he will not be eating so well during times of travel and away from the comforts of home...I will pray that you get through it without much worry and that he goes back to nearly 30oz when you get back home!! I am grateful that the doctor has suggested waiting. It is a good sign that he has a tender heart to what God is telling him.
Oh yeah, and it should go without saying, I love the pictures! The picture of the three of you shows where he gets his beautiful blue eyes from.

Whoo hoo! Way to go Jonah! Is it the new combo of formula and pediasure that he's taking so well?

And those are great pictures! Could be your Christmas card pic. :)

great pictures!

my kiddies have been praying and praying for jonah to eat. they go to a christian school, so jonah is on the prayer wall and in the prayer bag. we live FAR away from our family and they understand the importance of being with family at holiday times - i think that is one of their biggest motivations in praying for jonah to eat - they know what it's like to not be with family at special times.

praising God for all the great eating!!!

Are you still using the new tastier formula?

Maybe, after some adjustment, he has realized how enjoyable eating can be when the food is delicious ;)

Seems like you are part of a sweet little family :) Does Matt often get mistaken for being your brother?

Praise the Lord for his continued hand on Jonah. We wont stop praying, and He doesn't stop hearing!

I love that little miracle boy :)

Yay Jonah!

loving the great updates. maybe he's really starting to like the new concoction he's drinking. I won't try to compare my situation to yours, but my little boy was a terrible eater, at least the bottle, he did ok with solids, especially yogurt and avocado. But the stress it put me under- I'm not sure he ever drank more than 24 ounces or so-

That's Awesome!!! I'm so glad Jonah is eating better!! :D Is he still getting Alimentum or do you think it might be because of a change in formula?

Hey, what is the order of the siblings? Your brother and then three sisters? That's our family! It makes me excited to think our kids will be like that when they are older. What a great shot that is. And all the others too. So glad you were able to get out and make such great memories with Jonah!
