blues clues and gluttony

Still feeling about the same, but definitely not getting any worse, so that's great news. Jonah's tucked in for the night (or at least until he wakes up to eat), and Matt and I are watching Grey's and then Private Practice (we've DVRed them and are behind, so don't give anything away).
*****************************************

Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Jonah in his Bumbo watching Blues Clues. This is his new favorite show, and he watches every morning while Matt and I are getting ready. He digs him some Blue.

Kathryn got to come over for about three hours yesterday. Jonah also digs him some Kathryn.

*****************************************

I'm currently living by Matt's mantra of "Starve a fever. Feed a cold." Today I've eaten three big bowls of chicken and rice soup, a number five combo from Chick-fil-A, a chicken fajita pita, Spanish rice, and a strawberry shortcake (not a whole cake, just one of the little sponge cakes). As you can tell, I certainly do not have a fever. I know you don't care about what I've eaten, but I feel the need to publicly confess my gluttony.
*****************************************
I'm excited about the weekend (assuming I don't get any sicker). My sister Sarah's birthday is Saturday, so Jonah permitting we plan to head to the fair in the afternoon. I love everything about the Fall (especially now that we so desperately need cool weather), and I LOVE the fair. And I know Jonah will too, so I really hope it works out. And then it'll be back to our house for my mom's ice cream cake. Tasty. So anyway, after Matt's working late all week and me having a case of the blahs, I'm looking forward to a beautiful, upper 70's, fair and cake filled Saturday.
*****************************************
I have to go now... this Private Practice is just too intense.

Hi Patrice - so sorry you're not feeling well! Hope you're better soon and that you all enjoy the fair.

We love us some Blues Clues here too - "Boos Coos" as my 2-yr old calls it!

Thanks so much for sharing sweet Jonah with us and praise God that his foot drained!

Love from TX!

I have a weakened immune system and I am on flu lockdown... no public outings that aren't of vital importance (Which basically means stay home) I was just wondering if Jonah has similar restrictions from his doctors as well? I was told unless I was extremely ill to stay away from the clinic and to call in symptoms instead.

Sorry to hear you are still feeling "icky"...maybe its allergy related? My husband and I love this time of year but suffer horribly from fall allergies. Greys Anatomy is my Fav! I also love Private Practice...was very intense tonight! It looks like your family has so much fun together...bless you all!

We are fighting things here too. I had to keep my 5 year old home from school because he had a fever yesterday afternoon. Of course he is bouncing off the walls this morning.

I agree Private Practice was intense. They had me going with the beginning, but I could not figure out who was dead.

So that's what Kathryn was doing when I tried to call her yesterday! Glad she got to hang out with you guys, really. I hope you guys have fun tomorrow! Ice cream cake is SO great. That's what my mom often made me for my birthdays growing up.

Jonah, you continue to amaze me. I had not been reading for a few days and just spent a LONG time reading all about you. You continue to impress me beyond anything I can imagine. You are cuter and smarter everyday and God is working miracles right before our eyes. I am praying for you and for your mommy. I hope she can get better. Please give her time to rest and make sure she forgets about the never ending chores! Have a great weekend and remember we all love you even though we don't get to show it face to face! I love the fair too and am ready for it to get to middle Georgia! I'm glad you are not feeling worse at this point and hope you improve quickly. Jonah is such a cutie pie sitting in his chair. I can tell he does love Blue! He will indeed love the sights and sounds of the fair.

Jonah is gorgeous!! I'm praying for his precious little self. I have a Jonah, and there's something about their name. They are special and sensitive and worthy. I hope you got a good evening of escape TV. From one Jonah mom to another.

I just finished watching Private Practice this morning. My hubby and I love Grey's and I love them both! Also, my kids LOVE Blue's Clues. We went through a phase where my daughter (2) would throw herself on the floor kicking and screaming if she didn't get to watch it at least 3 times....my kids actually learned a lot from it as well...bonus! Cute pics of Jonah and hope you feel better soon!

Patrice,

God bless you and your husband. You don't know me, and I have not met you, but just wanted to give you and your blessed husband praise for your hard work, your dedication, your faithfulness, humbleness, diligence, and love for Jonah. I like to read your blog. I feel like I love Jonah now, it breaks my heart to see his blisters, and would gladly take the pain for him. I have 4 kids of my own, and reading your blog makes me want to be a better mother than I am right now. I take my kids and their health for granted, and reading your struggles, hardships, and positive attitude, and of course your love and faithfulness for our Lord, wow that is a lot for one set of people.
You give me so much conviction, I feel like, I was blessed with 4 healthy kids, and I don't do as much as you do.
Keep going, I can only imagine that it gets hard at times, but your reward will be paid off in heaven. And with prayers, maybe one day, there will be a cure for your little Angel.
God bless you and your whole family. May Jonah continue to improve, and grow, eat, and develop as normal as possible.
We are praying for him, and only wish for his well being.

Angie
