photos of jonah

Holding bottle all by self...
Our sorry attempt at tummy time. It didn't last very long. He wasn't a fan.

Jonah in a onsie! Real clothes! Hanna Andersson has clothes (although expensive) with flat-locked seams on the inside - so no big seam bunches under the arms. I'm so excited! So far, no blisters in his armpits! But today was our first try, so I'm not sure they would've popped up yet. If it works out, I will be one of their biggest customers, I'm pretty sure. I'm gonna be spending way more money on his clothes than I do on mine. After all, if I can't get it at Target, then I obviously don't need it.

I love his chubby little face! I don't know very many babies who enjoy tummy time, but in time most of them get used to it, and may even start to enjoy it :) I sure hope those Hanna Anderrson clothes work for him. Although the clothes are expensive, you would totally be justified in buying those cute little clothes for Jonah!

Patrice,
You guys were on my heart this weekend and I just had to pray for you all. I couldn't wait to get back home where I could get online and see how Jonah was doing. I am so glad that you have found onesies that will work for him. I pray tonight for Jonah to rest peacefully and just to keep being so adorable.

Nancy said...

He is so cute! SQUEALS! Yay for onesies!

nancy said...

what big eyes he has! He is adorable in the onesie. I have always spent way more on my kids/grandkids clothes than my own! It's ok too! Hope they will work out for you and not cause new blisters!

RLR said...

My word, is he ever CUTE! And growing so much!
My son never liked tummy time, either. I think it just takes them a bit to adjust to something new. Using new muscles and all - and banging their faces into the floor...
How great that you found some clothes that may work! I bet you can find some for less $ at the MANY clothing sales that happen in the area. They'll be coming up again in September!

He is adorable. Most of my kids didn't like tummy time either. He is just getting so big.

He is so cute. Horray for finding ready made clothing that might work. It would make your life so much easier. Hanna stuff lasts FOREVER so be sure you save everything for future kids, nieces, nephews, cousins, whoever.

What a handsome guy! He definitely looks like his momma. Yes, you can look like your mom and still be handsome. People always say my son looks like me - you know, in a "boyish" way. Ha!

(Other than my son) he is the cutest baby I have EVER seen! Adorable! He is chunking up!!

We love Hanna clothes and they look like new after many a wash, although I don't know what Aquaphor does to them :) If you are not too picky about patterns you can get good deals in their sale area - get on the email list and decide quick as sizes sell out.

I found you through MckMama and know neither of you in real life. I enjoy your updates and pray along with all the requests.

I read your blog, but never comment. I was going to suggest Hannah clothes a while back, but I wasn't sure they would work. We love Hannah and luckily live near a store. They are expensive, but when you catch a sale, they are great!

Katie said...

We love Hanna Andersson! The best part is that they even have underwear that EB kids can wear. The elastic is completely covered in cloth and doesn't bunch, so it's perfect!

Loved the pictures, thank you so much for sharing. Jonah is really growing and so precious. He will eventually love tummy time, just keep trying. In regard to the Hanna Andersson clothes, you might try Ebay. I typed in Hanna Andersson boy and right many items came up. I buy most of my grandchildrens clothes on Ebay. Good luck. Continuing to keep all of you in my prayers.

We love Hanna too. Like other people mentioned their sale items can be very reasonable. Nice thing for boys, is their clothes rarely go out of style vs. girls things. So we buy ahead for the future!!

Mr. Jonah looks so sweet in every picture you post.

Jonah is such an adorable baby! Yes, Hanna Andersson has great quality clothes; they are a little bit pricey, but they do last!
I love seeing how Jonah is doing.
You have been blessed:o)) Enjoy every minute because they grow up fast! My 2 sons are 12 yrs. and 11 yrs. and it seemed like I just brought them home from the hospital! I don't know where the time goes?!

WHew! Got my Jonah fix! He looks sooooo cute! Tummy time is never a winner in the beginning...eventually he will love it. I have a mirror by Sassy that came from............yes......Target! It sits upright so when you have them on their tummy...(don't know if you can have him in the floor on a blanky but you can hold the mirror....anyhoo...it sits up on the the floor and has the mirror with shapes and a bird and something else that they can reach for with black and white around the edge...then if you want, on the backside you can put a picture in it...then you can also tie it to the crib and it will hang out facing down toward the crib so they can see it from the bed. My son loves his and still plays with it at 21 months...it was a big hit once he got used to tummy time.

he looks so cute in his onesie! Love the color!

will continuously pray for him and you amaze me everyday with your strength! Isn't it funny how you just do what you have to do for your kids and then you wonder where that strength comes from! We have God to thank for that. I also know this isn't easy. IT isn't easy for any parent who can't make it all better for their child....

But you inspire me everyday!
Give Jonah kisses for me and a hug for yourself!

I know the whole tummytime thing is scary, but keep it up (I wish someone had suggested the boppy to me!).

I was terrified of giving Carson tummy time, so I didn't, and he developed a flat spot on his head....which isn't really a big deal (his gorgeous hair covers it), but his pediatrician was concerned about it---sent us for a CT, etc.

Your boy is beautiful Patrice!

Oh my goodness..he just keeps getting cuter and cuter by the day...those EYES! I am a HUGE fan of Hanna Andersson clothes. My son has skin sensitivities and ONLY wears Hanna underwear. They are expensive, however, get on their e-mail list and you'll find out about sales well before the catalog shows up. Many times I get stuff on sale and rarely do I pay full price for their items. He will outgrow stuff before they wear out as their clothes are incredibly well made and my kids have been wearing their stuff for almost 11 years! For special events, like b-days or holidays, ask for gift cards from there because they do have those and that way you can buy his stuff with a gift card too. Plus, check Craigslist and type in Hanna Andersson in the search bar...almost always if people sell their stuff then they will list that brand name in their listing because I do it on mine. Continuing to pray in Michigan for your sweet little man. Hugs (( )) (( )) (( ))

Hooray for onesies! He's SO sweet - love those cheeks and that tummy! Don't worry - none of mine liked tummy time either!

I've never bought Hanna Andersson clothes, but my friends tell me they're worth the price - they don't shrink or fade and they are very durable. So you're getting a lot of bang for your buck! And sweet Jonah is most certainly worth it!

Love you all and am continuing to pray!

You are a cutie little Jonah. Tummy time is usually not a favorite, but is necessary for development ie strengthning neck muscles. He will get use to it over time. One good thing to do is put an interesting toy in front of the Boppy (our PT recommended the Dancing Bugs made by Lamaze). Try Craigslist or Ebay to find it. This toy will distract him and tummy time will be over before he knows it. Of course other toys that move and have sound will also work. Good Luck.

YOu might also like the "Soft Clothing" brand. Her goal is to make clothes for kiddos with autism who have texture issues, but I imagine it would be great at preventing blisters as well. Here's the link;

My grandson is 3 months old, but his head (a little big=) is still wobbly. We got him interested in tummy time by putting him on his nursing pillow like you did and putting a mirror on the floor in front of him. He "talked" to that baby for a long time. So cute! You might want to try that. Hope it works.

Not sure why, but the look he has in the 3rd pic my be my fave of this set - He's so darling :)

There are Hanna Andersen outlet stores and they ship! If their clothes will work, call them and I bet they'll shop the floor for you. Their outlet prices can be great . I've gotten some $40 dresses for $5-8. I don't want you putting Jonah in dresses, but you get the idea!

I can't believe I've been reading your blog since Jonah's arrival, and it took a Hanna Andersen comment to get me to post!
