Pictures From Home

Patrice asked if I could post some pictures of the day. They started dressing changes about an hour ago and from upstairs it sounds like it's going pretty well so far. Not sure if Patrice will have a chance to get on here tonight but please continue to pray for Jonah's transition home.

Yeah!!!! I am so happy for you!!!! I just had a question. I was wondering if being buckled into a car seat or being in a swing and all that makes things worse. How do you help it be less stressful on cute Jonah? I guess I am just curious about the logistics of it all...Anyway, congratulations and the prayers will continue. This time for an easy transition!

God bless you guys!!! I am beyond thrilled for you!!!

I know what a relief it is to FINALLY bring your little miracle home.... It can also be a little scary, because you are so used to having the doctors and nurses right there to assure you that everything is going well.....I remember how anxious I was to see the nurse the next morning.....I just needed her to tell me that we were all on the right track....

If you ever need anyone to talk to, please feel free e-mail me!!

p.s. Jonah is sooooooo precious!!!

We are still praying for you guys!!

I found your site on Cole's foundation and have been following your journey since. I have never posted before but felt led to do so tonight. I am so happy for you that you have your little boy home with you. I can see on your faces how happy you all are. I can remember as a new mom how excited and terrified I was at the same time when we brought our new baby home. I can only imagine that you feel that way as well only on a much larger scale considering Jonah's special needs. I just want you to know that you are and will do a wonderful job because you are his mother and no one can take care of their baby like a mother can. Have faith in God and faith in yourself. You (and your husband) were chosen to be Jonah's parents for a reason - God always knows what he is doing. I pray that God will continue to bless you and your precious family in a mighty way.

Of course my 11 year old has seen many pictures but the rest of the family is just now joining the picture party.

Psa 106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

What a wonderful answer to prayer!!! We are so happy for your family. We live in Wiston Salem with our baby boy turning 5 months old this week. Our church and family have been praying for strength and healing for Jonah! Thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures. It is always an encouragement to know that God loves us and that He does hear our requests! As the days go on and you care for Jonah please keep these verses in mind:

Jhn 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Hbr 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hbr 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

May God give you wisdom and strength as you care for Jonah!

I am praying for your little guy! I am a car seat technician so I wanted to pass along to you that the insert you have in his infant seat is not safe - you should remove it. Generally, anything that did not come in the car seat box should not be used. Be careful to ensure the chest clip is at armpit height and the harness is snug enough - if you can pinch the webbing together at the collarbone horizontally, it is too loose. If you need to add support around him in the seat, you can only use rolled up receiving blankets - that is the only thing that techs will sign off on. Hope this helps and I hope your little man continues to improve.
