new brenner site!

The new Brenner Children's Hospital (our hospital here in town where Jonah has been/is treated) website is up. I don't know if you remember that I posted about agreeing to share our story (you know, the appointment I forgot about) on the new site, but we did. And it's up!

You can see it here.

And to get back at a later date, just go to http://brennerchildrens.org, click on the about tab, and then the link to the patient testimonials is on the left-hand side.

As always, thank you for continuing with us on this journey. We have received many blessings these last 20 months, and Brenner is way up there on the list of reasons we're thankful!

(An aside: I would not be able to talk if I did not have hands.)

That was a beautiful and well done story about you, Jonah, Gabe, and the rest of your family. I love the end where you talk about the respect you have for the medical community and vice versa.
Just beautiful!

I loved it all! And yes, I did cry. You are so well spoken and genuine Patrice. And I loved hearning your accent--it makes me imagine you talking when I read your posts!

Thanks for sharing.

Hubs and I actually watched the videos earlier today (we'd heard the new site was up from another source, and when I saw your story, we just had to watch all four of them!). You did a great job!

Beautiful story and you did so well telling it! I talk with my hands too! Your children's hospital sounds wonderful. I am on a parent advisory council at my children's hospital. I am going to take some of the things you said, like meeting with the OR team before hand with very special needs kids into my next meeting. We always meet with the chair of peds. I don't know if they have ever done that or not but I think he would be very open to it. We just need to get some of the "old school" doctors to jump on board the patient, family centered care bandwagon! If I am ever in your neck of the woods and I need a hospital I know I don't have to hesitate to take my child to Brenner! You have a gift for speaking. I could listen to you talk about Jonah all day!

How neat to see you and hear you talking like that! You did a great job! I've been reading your blog for probably a year now, maybe more, and I am so glad you posted those links. I think I just connected on a whole new level. (And yes, I cried.)

:-)

You're an incredible mother & Jonah is such a sweet little guy! Praying for you!

Patrice, I'm the night manager at the Ronald McDonald House, and I am in tears tonight with these videos. I am also friends with one of the MDs you speak of and I know he loves your family. THANK you for this post, and I'm praying for healing for Jonah, and for you and Matt as you raise him in our Saviour's plan.
