holiday shopping for multiple good causes

I've been meaning to post this forever, but I'm a slacker and am just now getting around to it. I know at the holidays I love buying gifts where a portion of the money goes to help someone. So... a couple things I've found you may want to check out:

1. My friend, Angela, is in the process of adopting a little girl from Ethiopia. Last I heard, they were number 84 on the wait list to bring their beautiful daughter home. Ordinary Hero is donating $10.00 of every shirt purchase ($24.95... that includes shipping and handling) to adopting families this month. The t-shirts are super cool. Please help bring a little girl home to her forever family. Click HERE to check out the shirts (they're on the right sidebar). When you check out, just make sure you put "Brian and Angela Hunt" in the Special Instructions section. WOOHOO!

2. Thanks to so many of you who let me know about the Tiny Prints cards. If you haven't heard yet, Tiny Prints has a line of celebrity-designed ornament-style holiday cards on sale this year. Sales from these cards benefit EBMRF (the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation) and can be purchased HERE.

3. And lastly (for now anyway... I know I'm forgetting some stuff), I found this blog post the other day and was ecstatic. I don't read this blog regularly. It was one of those click from here to there to there things, but I knew I was supposed to find that post. This awesome mommy blogger has compiled a list of families/shops/ministries that are selling all sorts of great stuff (clothing, jewelry, kids' stuff, art, homemade goods etc.) and proceeds go to adopting families. I have barely started my Christmas shopping, but I can't wait to look through these great sites. I love shopping and making a difference.  Makes my heart (but maybe not my wallet) so very, very happy. Click HERE to check out the goodies.

HAPPY SHOPPING!

I can't remember if I sent you the Tiny Prints thing or not, but I meant to! Of course I'm using Heather, but Tiny Prints sure is tempting because of the offer.

And I know Lora Lynn Fanning at Vitafam ... she lives in Birmingham. They are thisclose to adopting; they have received their referral and hope to travel very soon! So exciting. :)

Thank you for posting this. We (my family) are all trying to spend our money in a way that 'means something' this Christmas as we wait for our grandson to come home from Ethiopia. Another site to check out is www.onestopadoptionshop.com
