nothing much

UPDATE: Oh yeah, make sure you get the code for Jonah's new button. He's changed quite a bit since the last one. Thanks to my brother for yet another cute button. You're the best.

We've had a pretty good weekend. It's been fairly low key, which is the kind I like most of the time. On Saturday I ran some errands, and then my mom offered to listen out for Jonah so we could grab a bite to eat. He had only slept for 45 minutes all day, so we put him to bed early before we left. We drove across town and had about a twenty five minute wait at the restaurant. As soon as we sat down, my cell phone rang. Jonah had woken up, puked everywhere, and was FREAKING out (which is kind of what he does after waking up and puking all over himself). We left the restaurant immediately. It was actually good timing because we didn't have to wait for a bill. So anyway, there was a big clean up effort, some rebandaging, and a second wind for Jonah. He went to bed LATE. But he was still up in time this morning that we were able to make it to church. He was an ANGEL in the nursery, and wasn't nearly as clingy to me, so hopefully we're on our way to being able to leave him, even if only for ten minutes at a time. The only place we've ever left him is here, at the house, with someone he knows well, so it really threw him for a loop the first (and only) time we left him in the nursery. I think it will be better to build up, so it continues to be a positive experience for him. I really want him to have those. :)

Nothing much to talk about tonight, but here are a few photos of Jonah from last weekend, at Matt's cousin's going away party. He left for boot camp TODAY. Hope y'all had a nice weekend.

No idea what's going on in these last two...

In those last two pic's, he is displaying his own boot camp skills. Don't they call that the "army crawl"? He's smarter than we think, that Jonah boy!!!!

Those last 2 should have a caption of "My cuteness is too heavy to keep holding up!!"

I have worked for 10 years in the nursery for Jonah's age group. Many parents don't leave their kids very often and A build up is a great plan. Leave him for 10 minutes this week and then see if you can go for 15 minutes the next week. Before you know it, he will be staying for a whole sermon! You're an awesome mommy and you totally inspire me!

You don't know me, but I read your blog on a regular basis. You may know my cousin Jenny Cline or my sister in law Wendy Kendrick. They are the ones who told me about Jonah. I love to read your blog and all of the cute things you say and the adorable pictures of your little man. (He is so cute!) I don't know what it is like to have a child with EB but I do have a son with Miller Diker Syndrome (Ryan is his name). He has MANY problems including seizures, feeding tube, and severe developmental delay. (So I do know what it is like to have a child with special needs) :) I also have 2 other boys. Zack is 5, Ryan is 3, and Trevor is 1. I just thought I would let you know about me since I read about you all the time. I have a blog at www.threekendrickblessings.blogspot.com if you would like to check us out. I also posted Jonah's new button on my blog for others to see and visit your blog. Keep up the good work! You are an awesome Mom!
