one semester of spanish love song
I just wanted to share this video of how to use minimal Spanish to woo your love. One of my fellow teachers showed this to me my last year of teaching, and I thought it was hilarious... and so true. My kids loved it too.

That is soooo funny. I'm in Canada so we don't learn Spanish in school, just French. So is it sad that I understood about 90% of that because of Dora the Explorer?

¡Denada! ¡Muy gracioso! I had a Cuban teacher for first year Spanish. Second year was a Chilean professor on sabbatical who spoke no English. We taught her more English than she taught Spanish. Third year Spanish, she was able to teach us some more Spanish. Fourth year, I was in class for a week. I quit when I found that 3 & 4 th yr students would be in one class. I figure that out of all that time in class, I learned about 2 yrs worth. My older daughter has a double BA degree in English & Spanish. She cringes when I try to talk to the Hispanic waiters!
