a few photos

Playing around with my Totally Rad Actions I won in the auction...

Photos from the last couple days (you know, when I wasn't shoving Pedialyte down his throat).

Jonah loves the Outside, even if it's just staring through the screen door and listening to the birds.

I may or may not have Photoshopped boogers out of his nose in these next ones... I couldn't rightly say.

Playing with his Farm fridge toy.

Jonah ate 21 1/2 ounces today and ate about 1/4 cup Cream of Chicken Soup (the low sodium kind). I'm glad he's eating enough to stay hydrated, but unfortunately it's still not enough. I'm feeling more and more sure of the g-tube as the days pass. I hope it remains this clear to me. I want to feel sure of it. Thanks for your continued prayers as we struggle with this decision.

I LOVE the one with him staring out of the window. Makes you wonder what is going through their minds.

Continuing to pray for the little guy and you and Matt.

Every time you type the words "I couldn't rightly say," I'm reminded so strongly of Elaine.

The last photo is so precious! My little guy also loves the farm fridge toy. As a parent, the creators did a great job of not making the songs annoying. I love bopping along with the mismatched animal songs!

You put a "Jo" in front you put a "Nah" behind. Put them together and what do you find? A Jonah! That's silly!

We'll be praying for clarity as your family faces the g-tube decision. Much love, Alison

I just adore Jonah!! He is the cutest little guy. My little guy had an NG tube for his first 20 months and then a Gtube up until now...26 months. He's not getting rid of it anytime soon (he still needs a new heart). Anyway....

I just wrote a blog post on blended diets... how to pack alot of calories into their diet and get them off of formula all the time. Owen burns a ton of calories because he has only 1/2 a crappy heart. I know that Jonah burns a ton of calories because he's always trying to heal himself.

If you want to drop by and read it, feel free. Just wanted to share! :)

Good luck and we pray for you all the time!!

I love the last picture of his legs bent behind him, too cute.

I was wondering if I could ask a question...Why do you think Jonah has such food aversions? It is because it hurts to eat or something else (is it a physical or mental thing...or both)?
I love your little guy and my heart hurts for the decision you are facing.
If you don't want to answer-no problem, I am just curious and trying to better understand EB.

I love that 1st picture--Jonah leaning back on his arms, legs stretched out just chilling taking everything in. I love all the other pictures to-- that last one sitting on his legs & that gorgeous blond hair--oh I could just eat him with a spoon.

Glad to know that he is taking in enough to stay hydrated & he looks perfectly happy & healthy.

Will continue to pray for him & for you & Matt to be lead in the right direction for the gtube decision. God will show you the way.

Love & prayers

Oh my gosh, Jonah is the cutest!! LOVE the new pics. Praying for his restored health.
You're doing a great job, Mama. Keep it up, Patrice.

Random question - I have a friend whose daughter put Bag Balm all over her hair. She is looking for remedies to get it out. Since it's similar to Aquaphor, I was wondering if you had any tips, tricks, or secrets to getting greasy stuff out of clothes and hair. Could you email me?

Thanks!

His hair is getting so long and is it curly too? So cute :)
I'm glad you'll have the opportunity to address the g-tube with the doctor soon.
I know his nutritional needs are higher than the average, but I was wondering if maybe his calorie requirement isn't quite as high as it used to be? I was thinking that the rate of growth in the second yearof life isn't as significant as the first.
I hope you get great advice and feel God's leading!!
You're a great mama.
