jonah learning to stand

And this one too, just cause it was cute. He has had his tongue out all day.

I'll have to try to get him on video, but his newest thing is shaking his head. He doesn't know that it means "no" but I think he just likes how it feels. It is so funny.

Tonight we were saying things like:
"Do you like Carolina?" (vigorous shaking of the head)
"Do you like the Yankees?" (vigorous shaking of the head)
"Do you love Mommy?" (vigorous shaking of the head)

I'm so unappreciated.

Things are coming together for the party. We got a location nailed down and paid for today. And some other really fun and exciting party things have fallen into place, but I'm keeping them surprises for our party goers. Sorry. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure it will be the most well documented birthday party in the history of birthday parties, so you'll eventually get to see it all.

Next up - invitations. Heather, I'm counting on you. Start thinking County Fair. I'll be in touch.

YAY for standing!! He's doing great! And yes, you must capture the head-shaking on video. I'm sure it will make Caroline giggle!

Glad things are coming together for the party - 1-year old parties are lots of fun!

Have a happy Wednesday!

Love these pictures. I wanted to let you know that I have followed your blog since right after Jonah was born. I have spoke of him and prayed for him in front of my daughters...well, my oldest daughter (Courtney- she is 6) told me Sunday after church..."mommy, I raised my hand tonight at church and asked for prayer for baby Jonah". "She said, I told them about his blisters that how u can't touch him much and stuff cause it will make him get them and for all of us to be praying for him"...I told her how much he would appreciate the prayers and that I was so proud of her for remembering to ask for prayers for Jonah. I couldn't believe she even remembered after we got home on Sunday night to tell me she had done this in children's church. Oh, how precious they are...one day, it will be little Jonah asking for prayers for a friend of his. Courtney asks about Jonah and asks me to see his pictures often. How precious...I know it made God smile and I thought it would you too!

Loving Jonah in Thomasville, NC

What a cute little peanut! My little man is obsessed with shaking his head too, except he does it in his car seat and slams his head on both sides...it would probably give you a heart attack if Jonah ever did it :) I can't wait to see some pictures of his birthday party. It's going to put me to shame, but he deserves the biggest, best birthday party ever!

Yay! So awesome to see him standing...especially b/c I had a dream about him walking around playing with Salem the other night. It was so vivid, so real, so these pictures made me smile! It won't be long before you're chasing him around the house! :)

Mommie, don't you know that when you are concentrating on something real HARD(like standing up) you have to stick your tongue out??? Haha!! I always teased my kids that when they were learning to walk they would stick their tongues out to balance themselves.

Jonah looks great & excited.

He is ADORABLE!!!!!

Love, kisses, hugs & prayers

So glad things are working out for the party - you sounded so frustrated in your tweets, and I just wished that there was something I could do! County Fair sounds like a really fun theme!
