Just wanted to check in... know how you guys worry.
We're having a nice weekend, but I'm super tired so haven't really felt like posting. After letting Jonah get over-tired this afternoon (we went to Church and then to visit Grandaddy and then out to eat!), we had to struggle more than usual to get him to nap. But finally he did, and Matt and I were both able to sleep for an hour and a half.
GLORIOUS! Naps do not typically happen around here (for us, anyway). It's as if there is a sensor in my pillow connected to Jonah's "wake-up switch" or something. Usually, as soon as my head hits the pillow, he's up. And he did the same thing today, but we were eventually able to get him back to sleep.
Matt's parents are both in town, so that's been great! Matt's dad mowed the grass, and Debbie always helps out when she's here, so things have been a little easier on us than normal. Plus, they are just fun to hang out with! They'll be here through tomorrow evening I think.
Jonah wore a "real" shirt with sleeves for the first time today, and so far, so good. I think as long as I get really soft shirts with no collar issues that are a little over-sized, he'll probably be okay. He's bandaged pretty well underneath. The only places I really worry about are under the armpits, the little gap between the top of his arm and the edge of his shoulder halter bandage, his neck, and areas on his face that touch the shirt (chin, behind his ears). Okay, maybe I'm still worrying about a lot. :) But he's doing well, and I think the shirt was big enough and soft enough that it didn't bother him. I still want him to wear his satin-lined wrap shirts that Jeannie made him to bed though. I always feel he's safest when he's in those.
Okay, I knew when I started this that it would be short and boring, but wanted to let you know that Baby Jonut is doing well. His face looks fabulous right now. Hopefully it will in the morning too. You just never know how it's going to go. I'll try to get some pictures or a video up in the next couple days, but don't hold me to it.
You know how life likes to happen.
Happy No Work Tomorrow Day!
I'm ecstatic that Matt gets another day with us at home. Aren't three day weekends the best?

Yay for real shirts! Glad things are going well. Enjoy your day with your hubby tomorrow!
So glad it was a good day-naps are truly glorious! I just wondered if you knew that tomorrow at Chick-Fil-A if you wear your team shirt you get a free chicken sandwich! I know football's been a big topic in your house lately and thought at least you could get something yummy from it! :)

Glad to hear Jonah let you get a nap! As for soft shirts, I LOVE the baby clothes from Old Navy - they are always extra soft and the neck cuff is super soft. Just a thought!
Enjoy your day tomorrow! Glad Jonah is doing so well.
