baby ayden

Some friends of Lauren's, Lindsey and Jeremy, had to say goodbye to their four-month-old son, Ayden, on Tuesday. He apparently rolled over in his sleep at daycare and stopped breathing.

Can you please visit Lindsey's blog and let them know you are praying for them?

They are having the funeral today, and it is so hard. I remember distinctly thinking at Gabe's funeral that they shouldn't have to make caskets so small.

Please be in prayer for Lindsey and Jeremy. I don't know them personally, but my heart is breaking for them. Please stop by and cover them in love.

Thank you.

thanks, patrice. i'm about to leave for the memorial service. i know they have appreciated the prayers and support from everyone, even those who don't know them personally but feel their pain as fellow parents and brothers and sisters in Christ.

This is so sad. I was commenting on a blog today where the woman was talking about her awful day yesterday and wondered if it qualified as a really bad day. I told her that our lives are full of bad days but to me "things can always be worse." This is exactly the point I was making. We all have days full of crap but when you are faced with the loss of a child then you can say it's a bad day. Nothing else will ever be a bad day compared to that. I just had to get that off my chest. Thank you for listening. I visited Lindsey's blog and also Lauren's. I left a comment for Lauren asking her to send me their address so I could get a handkerchief from my For Your Tears blog out to Lindsey.
Take care and God Bless.
(Sorry for the soapbox)

Thank you, Patrice, for letting us know about baby Ayden. I have been following your blog for some time now and have never commented. It takes my breath away to realize how many young families have suffered so much loss. May God bless, strengthen and comfort all of you!

Thanks for sharing so that we can lift them up to the Lord during this awful time. I can't even imagine....and I don't want to. It's so hard to remember that our babies are on loan from God. It is such a reminder to enjoy every minute, every day with our children.
I know you have cherished every minute with Jonah....even the 15 minutes from you know where. :) Happy 6 months Jonah! Many, many, many, many more.

Patrice,
Please let Lindsey and Jeramey know that they are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of baby Ayden.

This summer over memorial weekend,I got the worse call ever. As hard as it was I attended a funeral of a friends grandson that was just days shy from his first birthday,he passed away during a visitation under his fathers care from an accidental aphexiation. Apparently some how he grabbed a plastic wal-mart bag while his dad had him napping on a changing table.

To this day I still can't believe that Landon is gone. I agree that no child should ever be put in a casket.

Sending my love,
Darlene
