Matt's dad and our niece, Abby, ALWAYS have lots of fun playing together on the beach. This game is called, "Abby, don't throw my hat in the ocean. Abby then takes his hat and throws it in the ocean, screaming in delight as Grandaddy chases her back up the beach."
This one is called, "Abby sneaks up behind Grandaddy's chair and pours a bucket of water on his head. He then chases her into the ocean... again, with her screaming in delight."
This is my sorry attempt at artsy beach pictures. I apparently don't do artsy.
The group birthday party. Thirteen kids, tons of presents all opened at once, total mayhem. Pure bliss.
One of Jonah's many presents. He snoozed through the birthday party while daddy opened all his gifts. Can't wait to start playing with them!

Looks like a good time is being had by all. So glad you are able to enjoy some days away and the company of your family. I can't believe how much Jonah is growing. He seems to like all the attention of his relatives, but it is evident that he is partial to his mommy and daddy. Have fun.

I love the picture of the birthday party! Are all these kids immediate nieces and nephews on Matt's side of the fam? Just wondering. BTW, they're ALL adorable too . . . You can pass that comment on to their parents if you like! I bet they are wantin' to love all over Jonah too!

Oh I am so glad you are having a great vacation. I don't know you personally, but by reading your blog and having a 14 month old myself, I can't imagine how exhausted you must be. And after reading your packing list for this vacation, I will never complain again to my husband about how much stuff we have to take...well that's a lie, I will still complain but maybe not as much :-) Hope the remainder of your vacation is wonderful! Enjoy that precious little boy!

Okay, so this chunky monkey is just plain adorable!! And what a difference it makes to see his chubby little hands, he just looks so grown up, no more infant! And although all the kiddos in the family are precious I think Jonah is the star!!
I loved My Sisters Keeper but it just seems a little to serious for a beach read. I have to recommend A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson - it's laugh out loud funny!

8 hours of sleep! How great you must have felt! Did you panic when you woke up and realized how long it had been? When my son started sleeping through the night I still woke up and still do. My body got programmed I think! I love the new pictures! He is so handsome! How in the world are you going to get everything back plus all the presents? Guess the presents can go in the places where you have used up supplies! Looks like you all are having a blissful time! Enjoy!
