Hi - just wanted to say I've been following Jonah's progress for a long time, but haven't commented previously. This time, I would feel guilty if I didn't share my experience with the spit-ups (or projectile floods in our case.) We found out (the hard way) with both of our children that if we used the powder formula that mixes with water, it came back every time. Once we switched to the Ready-to-Feed (and much more expensive) formula, they did great. We were trying to be cost effective with the powder, but our kids had other ideas. We still don't know why the powder-type didn't settle, maybe they're just high-maintenance kids? Thought I'd share...best of luck!

Oh Patrice, I have not commented up here lately but I just had to when I saw Jonah in his bumbo and his new bath seat. He is getting so big and growing so fast. I know we couldn't wait to use the bumbo--great to have another alternative besides the swing and the bouncer. He is absolutely precious.

Awww, what a cutie pie! At 3 years old, Madeline still loves her nudey time...too much! I catch her stripping down in the backyard completely naked almost on a daily basis. I'm wondering when she will grow out of that phase. Anthony, at 9 months, is also showing a love for his naked time too. I always joke that we are raising a family of nudists!

Haven't posted in a while, but have been following and continue to pray for all of you. Jonah looks precious, he is really growing. So sorry he has feeding problems. Jonah sounds a lot like Leigh when she was about that size. She had projectile spit ups also. The doctors finally figured out she was allergic to milk, so she has been drinking soybean every since. Hope you can find something soon to work. I know you will get a lot of feedback from everyone with different ideas, but praying you find the right combo for Jonah.
If I did not already love this boy I would not be able to resist a moment longer. Thanks for the "FIX" for sure! He is so durn cute! His expressions are priceless. He is truly growing up and looks so wonderful! Mine STILL love to be naked!

Uhm... what color did you tell Matt that bumbo was? I could almost hear Matt in my head "no son of mine is sitting in a purple chair!" But then again, Jonah's cuteness is a pretty good distraction.
Which also made me think... I have a green one if that appeals to Jonah's manliness more. If you want to swap when we hang out (*ahem* call me)we can. If you even care that much. :)

Someone earlier mentioned the ready to feed formula not coming up as much, I think it's because it's thicker. We know that the local BJS or SAMS or Costco Club sells it for so cheap that it's actually the SAME price as powder (at least in our area.)

On the spit up subject, my baby had reflux and used to vomit exorcist style. We actually got to the point we would brag about the distance she could projectile vomit. SAD!

You are right, he is getting big and you shouldn't wish his life or yours away. Just enjoy every minute. Before you turn around twice he'll be graduating from high school.

I haven't commented recently (though I check on you guys daily), so I wanted to add that I hope your beach trip was a nice little break from the every day norm and helped to reenergize you somewhat. Even if just having some down time with all of the extra help and hearing those calming waves lap up on the beach.

I definitely feel for you in the "spit up" department. All 3 of my kids had reflux but my first was projectile vomiting several times a day, everyday. Nothing seemed to help but he got better around 6mos and it was completely gone by about 9 mos. Good luck and I hope you find something that works for you and Jonah.
