big blue eyes

Guess who slept through his dressing change until 2:30am (when we woke him up to eat) and then from 3:30am-7:00am (when we woke him up to eat) and then again from 8:15am-10:00am?

He did. Guess who's feeling like a brand new person?

Wonderful news Patrice, just give Jonah time and he will sleep longer. Just takes time to get into a routine and his is a little more involved than a healthy baby. Beautiful picture, love his blue eyes. So glad you are feeling better. Continuing to pray that evey day will get better for all of you and that Jonah continues to surprise you in good ways.

Nothing better than peaceful sleep and a happy baby.

Within one week of us bringing our son home, he slept through his midnight feeding (was a fluc). I woke up in an absolute panic. I hadn't slept that well since month 5 of pregnancy.

Please keep the pics and stories coming. We are cheering you on.

I am from Pfafftown (now live in Richmond). I found one of those crazy light up spinner toys that our audiologist uses. I will either drop it off at your church or in the mail to your PO box. Hope it helps when you need a distraction.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this pic!

I always joke that I don't even know my own name the first 8 weeks or so after a baby comes home - but once you get even a couple of hours of extra sleep, you become a functioning person again!

Hope you have an equally wonderful night tonight!

I know you posted in an earlier post worrying about scarring on the face from the blisters. Let me assure you that babies are AMAZING on how well their skin will heal! My daughter was 18 months old when she pulled a lamp down by the cord on her. She was stuck between the china dome shaped shade and the bulb and got a terrible big awful burn and blister on her full cheek. I was horrified and knew that I had allowed her to be scarred for life be being so careless that she got behind a table. Long story short... she healed beautifully and within a short amount of time you would have never known we went through the whole ordeal! So don't worry...Jonah is beautiful and his face will heal beautifully from his blisters also. Keep up the good work! I love reading your upbeat attitude in a situation that could really pull you down.

My 6 year old daughter has announced, after seeing pics of Jonah, that she wants a baby brother just like him. Especially with blue eyes. We are constantly thinking of you...

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!! What a baby doll!!
That face is beautiful!
And I want to also comment about your post "not (entirely)about Jonah". I am sure you should not feel pressured to write the "obligatory daily post". It surely should not be a burden to you. It should be a blessing to you and your family. But know that what you have done has been a blessing in showing forth God and giving an example to countless others the beauty of your faith and of the gift of God to you in Jonah. I for one, pray daily for you all and even what you might consider the most mundane post, blesses my day in seeing what the Lord is doing there. So if it is a blessing to you to write a post, it will be a blessing to those that read it.
"Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together." Psalm 34:3
Hugs!
