prayer request

I just got off the phone with Matt, and he has a sore throat... thinks he's getting sick. Please pray that this is NOT the case. If he's sick, he can't be with Jonah and really can't be with me either, and we both need him very much right now.

Prayer warriors unite. I don't know how I'll do it without him.

Prayers from Houston on their way. You tell Matt to get to the doctor and get some meds so he can get better and be with you two. Make sure and take care of yourself as well.

Praying for all of you. For you... strength, for Matt...the ability to fight off any illness, and for Jonah...to continue to be the little trouper that he appears to be.

You don't know me - but I believe that with the power of prayer we all know each other through our connection with God. Bless you and your family. We will all continue to follow Jonah's progress.

Praying, Patrice!

And without discounting the power of prayer, I also want to say that if he is sick and has to stay away for a few days, I am beyond confident that you will be able to do it. You are a strong and courageous mom, and you have Jesus as your strength. Praying it doesn't come to that, but I don't want you to be discouraged either!!!

We are praying Matt does not get sick, strength, endurance and peace for you, Matt, Jonah and your families and for Jonah that he eats from a bottle instead of the ng tube and continues to sustain from infections.

In Christ,

On bended in Indiana!!!
You are strong and you can do it if you have to!!! I know you need him and don't want to do it without him.....tell him to go straight to the dr and get on some antibiotic and stop whatever it is that his body is trying to get. At least if he is picking up somethins the antibiotic will stop it if it is an infection!!! Prayers being sent!!! You are strong and can do it!

Of course we'll pray for Matt! I know you need him and Jonah needs him too. Jonah is always on our minds! We look forward to hearing more "Jonah news" tonight. I always pray as I pull up the blog that Jonah is having a good day and making steps toward getting stronger each and every day.

I will be praying for you and Matt that you would stay healthy and get some rest. I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but I wanted to say that Jonah looks sooooo good! He is such a beautiful boy, and it makes me happy to see that he is healing and eating like a champ. Prayer does change things!

Heavenly Father,

You are Holy, Righteous and Amazing in all Your ways. We thank You that we can lift up Matt before you asking for Your divine presence to shower down upon him keeping him in good health for his wife and son. Thank You Abba for Your mercy, love and grace that always abounds in our lives. Thank You for your healing Hand over Jonah. Thank You that the outcome of all of this will be to Your glory in Jesus Name. Amen. Amen.

Prayers for Matt's health from Ohio!

Tell Matt to start taking VitaCold (you too!)...my gal pal swears by and it's all natural and no side effects. It helps to prevent colds/yuckiness (my terminology) and can also shorten the duration. You can get it online from Wasserman and it can arrive in two days. Order it up! You are all in my prayers over there...I pray the doctors and nurses have the wisdom and guidance to get your little man on the road to health.

Tell him to start drinking large amounts of Vitamin C juice or lemonade (lemonade with fresh squeezed lemons is best, not much sugar) and eat some raw garlic (this is tolerable couched in lots of bread). This almost always knocks out an impending sore throat/cold for me.

Cure for sore throats is gargle with strong salt water (really warm water). I woke up with a bad sore throat this morning, gargled moutfuls for a few minutes,my sore throat is GONE! Continue to do this every few hours all day :) Zicam also(citrus flavored tastes the best)has lots of vitamins to boost your immune system. Really works.

But in your situation I would tell Matt to head to the Dr. asap and ask for meds WHILE he's telling the dr. about your precious baby boy, and how he needs antibiotics so he can be feeling better and be there for you two. no dr. will refuse! ;)
